    • How did you come to HART? One day while working in my home office, I heard the door bell ring in the middle of the day.  I opened the door and there was Eric, a HART organizer.  I invited him in and he shared with me about HART's work.  Since I have always been very passionate about community work and as I was an independent consultant at the time, my time was my own so I agreed to get involved.  I started as a resident leader, then a board member, and then President of the Board.  When the previous executive director informed the board she was leaving, she encouraged me to apply for the Executive Director position and I did.  So here I am, honored to be working for a great organization and looking forward to making a greater contribution to HART and my community.

    • How did you come to HART? The first time I interviewed for a job at HART, I didn't get it because I did not have a car, but I was so impressed with the organization that I decided to volunteer with them. I had a one-on-one conversation with one of the organizers and became a member of the Education Committee, where I was able to help make positive changes in the public schools, including the one my own daughter attended. I also worked with the organizers distributing flyers and knocking on doors, talking with resident. The next time an opening came up, I was encouraged to apply and when I did I got the job!
