Leadership Development
HART's Leadership Development Training teaches resident leaders how to participate in results-oriented campaigns for improving the quality of life in the community. Our residents express that the skills learned in our Leadership Training Institute have had a positive impact on all aspects of their lives - both private and public.
The eight-hour Leadership Development curriculum adapts to the needs of specific individuals and groups. Workshops can take place either at HART's offices or other neighborhood venues. To optimize group learning opportunities, classes usually don't exceed twelve participants. Individualized training is also available. Topics covered by HART's Leadership Training curriculum include:
- What it takes to be a good leader.
- Defining organizing concepts such as "problems", "issues," and "self-interest."
- Building effective public relationships - writing testimony, effective public speaking techniques, and chairing a meeting.
- Creating and implementing strategic action plans that yield real results.
